A talk with Vlad Bolsun, Founder & CEO of "select form" and a creativity researcher, about his routine and life philosophy.

Tell us a bit about your daily routine.
My day is all about a strict schedule and discipline. I’m in that stage of life where I need to stay “switched on” all the time, ready for whatever tasks life throws at me.
You recently launched a merch agency. What’s that about?
I started the agency because I genuinely love clothing — and I don’t want clothes to just end up as trash. We’re creating merch that people actually want to wear, whether it’s employees or partners.
How do you balance work and rest?
When I feel like I’m running out of energy, I switch off all my devices, grab a book, or just go outside for a walk.
Do you have a place where ideas come to you best? What inspires you?
It’s not tied to one city, but I love working while traveling. Honestly, first class on the Intercity train is my favorite spot to get things done.
Is creativity more about discipline or chaos? And what about you?
Creativity is a mix of both. Ideas are born in chaos, but they only come to life through discipline. I’d describe myself as “chaotically disciplined.”
What are the things you always carry with you?
I always have a tourniquet — living in Ukraine, that’s a necessity. A laptop, so I can jump into work anytime. And keys to my place — because at the end of the day, it feels good to have somewhere to come back to.
