HURU 65°64° was created in collaboration with Slava Balbek after he returned from Antarctica.

The first backpack was sewn from Slava's antarctic suit, which he wore during the construction of 'Home. Memories' art installation at the Antarctic Vernadsky Research Base in February 2023.

MATERIALS

- HURU 65°64° is an urban backpack with a bright style, original shape and extreme
comfort for everyday use.
- Available in two colors (orange and black) made of water-repellent fabric produced by a licensed manufacturer: X-PAC.
- Strong nylon slings.
- YKK zippers and sliders (water-repellent).
- 2 HURU buckles.
- Fastex clips for adjusting the length of the sling with a lock.

- Buckles for fixing the sling.
- The backpack has the most comfortable anatomical shape of the straps, back and weight distribution depending on its content.
- Protective foam for gadgets is 8 mm thick.
- Amann threads (made in Germany). They comprise 50% organic and 50% synthetic components, which allows the suture channel to be filled evenly and tightly in different weather conditions.
- Doweling of seams in places of increased load.
- Reflective tape for dentification in the dark.
- The National Antarctic Science Center ambassador's logo.

Backpack compartment:

- Top pocket on the backpack flap.
- Hidden pocket on the backpack flap.
- Two side pockets with zippers for a bottle, umbrella or other oversized items. One of the pockets has a sewn-in carabiner for attaching keys.
- The main compartment, in addition to the general space for things, contains two organizers on the front wall, as well as two compartments for a 15'' laptop, tablet or documents on the back wall of the backpack.
- The main compartment of the backpack can be opened in two ways: through the central zipper that runs the entire length of the backpack, or through an adjustable drawstring on top of the main compartment. For maximum security, the
main compartment is additionally closed with a flap with two HURU buckles.

Nice stylish backpack

I really like the backpack. The size and design is perfect for everyday carry. The metal clasps makes this backpack look very premium. Only negative I can think about this backpack is that the xpac material is a bit noisy- it makes a crinkly noise. May be the material can be improved in the subsequent versions.

Рюкзак з історією

Класний повсякденний рюкзак з своєю історією. З захватом спостерігав за Славиною поїздкою в Антарктиду і потім мене просто розірвало від ідеї зробити рюкзак з полярного комбеза.

По матеріалам топ, води не боїться, на дотик приємний, металева фурнітура це щось з чимось хоч і інколи брящить. Кожен раз як треба щось покласти/дістати з рюкзака ловлю себе на думці який же він класний. По вмісткості проблем немає - 16 дюймовий ноут в окремому відділенні, дві внутрішні великі кишені і ще купа місця під додаткові речі.

З мінусів можу відзначити стрічку з карабіном в лівій зовнішній кишені - мені як правші дуже не зручно скидати рюкзак з лівого плеча залишаючи його на правому, щоб дістати швидко ключі або пропуск до офісу. Хотілось би мати можливість перемістити стрічку з карабіном в праву кишеню.

It's a good small city bag

All in all it's good. Super high quality of all materials, solid lockers and zippers. You kind a feel that this is a Cool Thing! On practical side it's quite small for carrying things I need day to day. Inside pockets are not very convenient in terms of items management. Outside pockets on the side are cool - can be reached, without taking the beg off the shoulders. Last but not least is color - IT IS BRIGHT! I receive some random feedback from people on the street about it, so it's up to you: take it if you want to be visible.
I've been to Vernadsky station, so for me is super pleasant memories to wear it and to be a real ambassador!

Ідеальний рюкзак для міста

Однозначно 5 зірочок! І на це є декілька причин:
1. Ідея - саме за ідею я цей рюкзак і придбала. Для мене це щось фантастичне - зробити рюкзак з полярного комбінезона. Нехай лише перший з них дійсно побував на Антарктиді, але це не зменшує крутості ідеї, а також такої колаборації - бренду та науково-дослідної станції України в Антарктиді. Гарний приклад підтримки і популяризації української науки і науковців. І річ дійсно з сенсом, яку хочеться носити і берегти.
2. Якість - дуже якісне виконання з увагою до деталей. Всі замки працюють, багато кишень для всіляких дрібничок, металеві застібки.
3. Зручність - рюкзак ідеально підійде для міста, особливо, в холодну пору року. Матеріал, з якого зроблено рюкзак, водонепроникний, тому можна не боятись за речі в середині, якщо десь потрапили під дощ. Не впевнена, що влітку з рюкзаком буде так само зручно, адже немає якоїсь підкладки, яка пропускає повітря та не дає спині запріти. Але тут я свідома унікального матеріалу і готова змиритись з тим, що у спеку радше не користуватимусь цим рюкзаком. Рюкзак на вигляд маленький та елегантний, але місткий. Туди з легкістю поміститься ноут середніх розмірів (до 15ʼ), блокнот, книги, перекус на день. Для навчання або роботи, коли потрібно постійно носити з собою ноут - чудовий варіант.
